DSR Shell Chair FRP Resin [Matte Black]

Reproduced furniture focused on quality and price from E-comfort.

The Shell Chair is one of the works submitted to the "Low-Cost Furniture Design Competition," co-hosted by a furniture nonprofit organization as part of MoMA's efforts to differentiate itself from other museums by collecting modern design products in 1948. It achieved an impressive second place. At that time, Charles Eames was striving to realize a new era of design that could be mass-produced using molded plywood, but the production with molded plywood proved to be extremely difficult. Eames did not give up on commercialization and successfully produced the chair using FRP, a new material at the time. The chair, produced by layering fiberglass wool with adhesives using a mold and finally shaping the exterior, was released to the world as an innovative mass-produced item. The E-comfort Shell Chair is available in six colors for the seat: black, white, gray, red, pale blue, and pale green, with options for the legs being wood legs or a rod base. This is the side shell chair with a rod base. *The product is a reproduction imported and sold by E-comfort.

Pull-out molding CFRP resin "CBZ"

CBZ is a CFRP resin suitable for pull-out molding. Compared to pull-out materials using epoxy resin, productivity improves by 2 to 3 times.

CBZ manufactures many parts using pull-out molding. We have a strong track record due to high strength and good productivity. Feedback from pull-out molding manufacturers: "We can produce at three times the speed when using epoxy resin, which has improved productivity. The properties of CFRP are equal to or better than those of epoxy resin, and there are no issues." 【Features of CBZ】 ■ High adhesion to carbon fibers sized for epoxy resin ■ High adhesion to glass, aramid, and basalt fibers ■ Provision of CFRP with excellent bending, compression, and interlaminar shear strength ■ Low water absorption ■ Moisture resistance, oil resistance, and gasoline resistance ■ Fast curing achieved through radical polymerization. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
